In 2026, the Deer Club is awarding $300 of scholarships.
Important information:
- Applications due June 1
- Open to invited applicants and students from Gateway Regional High School and Gloucester County Institute of Technology only
- You must use your school student email to apply, not personal or deermail dot org
- Correspondence related to the scholarship will be from the address scholarships at deermail dot org
Community service award
2 awards of $50 to a junior or senior:
- 1 of whom is a member of Deer Club
- 1 of whom is a non-member
who has demonstrated exceptional service to their community in or out of school
Dedication award
1 award of $50 to the senior with the longest tenure in Deer Club
Existencebound award
1 award of $50 to a senior in Deer Club who is not planning to attend college within 2 years of graduation
Progress award
1 award of $100 to either (membership not required):
- a senior attending college intending to major in journalism, gender studies, sociology, or a related field; or
- a high school student (grades 9–12) attending a non-degree journalism program within 1 year, sponsored by a college or university, newspaper, or reputable media organization
Community service may be used as a consideration in this grant
